For a week in March 2017, BBC Radio Manchester took on 100 non-journalist volunteers from Greater Manchester to become presenters, reporters, producers or digital reporter to take over their airwaves. You didn't need any journalistic qualifications or experience as training was given as part of the project. After applying in January 2017, I was lucky enough to be selected as a digital reporter; my task was to create a video report for BBC Radio Manchester's Facebook page.
